THE WOE-BEARING W'S IN "THE WEBS OF SHAITAN, THE WAY OUT" OF Mahfouz Adedimeji (PART TWO)

"I'll surely take an appointment portion of Your (Allah's) slaves. Verily, I will mislead them, surely I will arouse in them false desires and certainly, I will order them to slit the ears of cattle and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allah.... Whosoever takes Shaitan as helper or friend instead of Allah has surely suffered a manifest loss" (Q4: 118-119)

The above verses of Qur'an gives an insight to one of the promises of Shaitan, remember I said, right from his degradation from the highest position amidst angel(even thou he's Jinn), he has began war against Human being. The bitter truth is that, he would continue to hunt human being till the last hours.

The woe bearing W's however are the webs of Shaitan which he designed to hunt down human. They are: Word, World, Wealth, Women and Wine

You wouldn't  doubt it too, the above are indeed the web of Shaitan!

وَفِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ‌ؕ اَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ

"and in your own selves! So, do you not perceive?" (Dhariyāt21)

To this end, it is worthy to observe how word has ruined the world, break family ties, religious ties and others. This would drive us to pounder on many occasions where prophet Muhammad would hold his tongue and enjoin man to say good with it or shut up. World in this respect has become a global one, hence, the tentacles of Shaitan's web witnessed development too, within your room and alone you could travel miles and commit as many as sins you want, that's world. Notably, life is deceptive, it's left to individual to manage his worldly interest.

Wealth also regarded as materialism is one of the web of Shaitan, excess demand of wealth is one of the place where Shaitan penetrates human life and led man astray.

As observed by the author, the get rich quick syndrome is prevalent in our society to extent that it defies social stratification: both young and old, male and female, hardworking and lazy, in fact, every Audu, Emeka and Olu is involved. Life today is judge by the basis of its material quality. The get rich quick syndrome has drive many youth into fraud, robbery, hacking and cyber theft.

The Web Of Women, this is a world wide web, a MAD(Mutually Assured Destruction) web which only few would be caught outside of it. Every old and young Muslim talk of "my girlfriend" "my boyfriend" with impunity.

It is earth shaking, heart rending, sense mumbling, and indeed mind boggling that the religionists- Islamic scholars, imams, Alfa and Omokewus are not even spared from this women's web zina.

Today who can vouch for his Imam and Alfa?

Lastly, the web of Wine (I.E intoxicants and even smoking) it is desire of Shaitan to dissuade his victims from the path of sanity, decency and rectitude through indulgence in alcoholism. In a traditional of prophet about "Dayyuth" he said the person who continue to take alcohol would not smell paradise, for every intoxicant is haram. In another word, Allah would punish a Muslim who dies as an alcoholic drinker like a disbeliever worshipping idols.
